PHYSICAL FEEDBACK / 2026-09-19
Too small.
Holes filled with plastic.
A record of the first physical trial of the 4 mm joints, published with the contributor's permission. It is retained to inform the next design, not as a success report or manufacturing approval.
They are small and difficult to make. Also, some of the holes are filled with plastic.
It is not reused as physical evidence for the new 8 mm common blocks. Earlier handling and blocked-hole issues remain distinct; causes, retention and repeated-use durability are unresolved.
What is known / What remains unknown
| Item | Current record |
|---|---|
| Trial set | Small 4 mm trial set: 7 types, 11 parts. The hash of the input actually sliced has not been cross-checked. |
| Equipment and material | Bambu Lab P1S; a 0.2 mm nozzle was reported installed before the trial. PLA was assumed. The actual material brand, plate, process profile, layer height, and support settings have not been supplied. |
| Ease of handling | Reported from actual use as “small and difficult to make.” Optimal part dimensions and assembly time remain unknown. |
| Blocked holes | Some holes were reported to be filled with plastic. Blockage was present before ultrasonic cleaning, as confirmed in follow-up feedback. The main cause—geometry, first layers, supports, slicing, or another factor—remains unknown. |
| Fit and retention | Seating, play, pull-out, and cracks or looseness after five insertion/removal cycles have not been established as numerical or notch-specific results. |
| Applicability to other revisions | This record does not demonstrate physical success for the historical 6 mm or the 8 mm designs. It is not a pass for full assembly or strength. |
The original geometry remains NOT_SLICED. Individually scraping out small holes or forcing parts together will not be assumed to be acceptable requirements for a finished kit.

This linked video shows post-print ultrasonic cleaning. It does not show the printing process or a physical-fit pass. The holes were already blocked before cleaning, so cleaning is not blamed for the initial blockage or treated as a demonstrated remedy. The cleaning liquid, temperature, duration, and changes after cleaning are also unrecorded.
The video is not embedded or autoplayed. There is no connection to YouTube until you open the link.
From this feedback to an 8 mm common-block redesign.
On 2026-09-20, implementation of the common-block redesign was requested. The new revision has no physical test results; fit and retention are unvalidated.Authorized redesign and unvalidated conditions、Publication status of the actual datacan be checked separately.
Publication processing and photo/video rights
The public JPEGs have normalized orientation and have had EXIF and other metadata removed. Videos were remuxed without re-encoding the video stream, removing audio, sensor tracks, location, recording time, and other metadata. This archive uses the already-published files unchanged.
Copyright in the photos and physical-trial videos remains with the contributor. Permission is for publication as an improvement record; the model's CC BY-NC 4.0 license does not automatically apply. Further reuse requires separate authorization from the rights holder.
